Marketing and Sponsorship Opportunities

Agro-Trend represents a unique marketing opportunity for companies seeking to expose their products and services to a diverse community and business sector. Agro-Trend provides a forum for the exchange of information pertinent and vital to many sectors of the community, beyond those directly involved in agriculture. Agricultural-specific businesses display their wares beside craft, food, wine, home improvement, communications, tanks, tools, technology and much more.

Visitors to Agro-Trend decide to do so for reasons beyond an interest in agriculture. The evolution of the event to include entertainment and businesses of broader interest to the community has resulted in the staging of a great day (or three days) out for families too.

Capturing the attention of a broad, local audience can be difficult. Agro-Trend Field Days can make the job easier.

As the premier subtropical field days event that encompasses both rural, home and lifestyle issues in the South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales market, Agro-Trend is set to break new records for the 2011 event.

Agricultural, Horticultural, Retail Field Days

Aim

To establish an annual farming and lifestyle event that will be recognised nationally to showcase not only the Bundaberg region but also focus on rural living and the opportunities that can be gained for urban dwellers throughout the Bundaberg region.

Economic Impact

258 exhibitors booked 325 sites representing some 30 industries for last year's event continuing the popularity of Agro-Trend. Accomodation venues, hire companies and small business operators are overwhelmed by the demand for their services. 48% of exhibitors were from outside of our region. The 2010 event identified the tremendous benefits gained by the Bundaberg community, with an estimated $2.5 million dollars injected into our local economy via local businesses.

Additionally, 10,500 patrons ensured that the three days were nothing short of hectic for the majority of exhibitors.

The success and growth of the 2011 Agro-Trend is assured with over 75 sites currently allocated to exhibitors.

Management Committee

Agro-Trend is a joint venture agreement between the Rotary Club of Bundaberg and the Bundaberg Newspaper Compan, a subsiduary of APN News and Media who bring wealth of experience to the event via media marketing strategies and business advice.

The Event Organisers

Col Reynolds will continue as Secretary Manager for Agro-Trend 2011. Col was an integral part of the success of many recent Agro-Trends. Col is excited with the prospects for the 2011 event for the continued success of an event that has been held annually since 1978.

Marketing and Promotion

An extensive media campaign is planned with the Bundaberg NewsMail, a subsidiary of APN News and Media, utilising the broad base of regional community newspapers throughout Queensland and northern New South Wales.

In addition to the press local and regional television and radio will target central and southern Queensland areas in the weeks leading up to the 2011 event.
