The Rotary Club of Bundaberg is calling for exhibitors for the 41st Agrotrend that will be held in April. Agrotrend bases its foundation on celebrating all things agricultural and invite a range of agricultural and lifestyle based businesses to join in the fun.
“The Bundaberg Region is home to a large and productive region of southern Queensland. The primary economic driver of the commercial hubs of Bundaberg, Childers and Gin Gin is agriculture and horticulture making Agrotrend Bundaberg the ideal location for a field day event” said Ainsley Gatley, Event Manager.
Last year saw 7000 people attend the 2 day event with a great range of activities on show for the public to enjoy including the Australian Alpaca Show, Working Cattle Dog Displays, tractor demonstrations, Ping Pong Ball Drop, Bundaberg BBQ Battle, Bundaberg Yesteryear Machinery Old Tractor Pull, Vintage and Veteran Vehicle Displays and the Agrotrend Strongman and Tractor Pull.
The new Robots, Drones and Sensors Future Farming Masterclasses brought to Agrotrend by Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers will be a highlight for the 2018 event. Bundaberg Canegrowers will once again be hosting their CaneTrends @ Agrotrend event and the Qld Women in Sugar Conference will kick off the Monday after Agrotrend.
“This is a Rotary Club of Bundaberg initiative and for us it is about engaging with industry and partnering with both Bundaberg Canegrowers and Bundaberg Fruit and Vegetable Growers ensures we are better meeting industry needs and bringing back the focus on our agricultural industry ” said Ainsley.
Agrotrend will be held on the 27th and 28th April 2018 at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct with the Rotary Rodeo as the finale event on the Saturday night. Exhibitor application forms can be found online at www.agrotrend.com.au or by calling 0488197400.
